Earth Day

Earth Day – Monday, April 22, 2013

Garbage Free Lunch

To recognize Earth Day and demonstrate one way we can care for our Earth, Springside School will be participating in a garbage free lunch.
Please try to pack lunch items in reusable containers and lunch bags to participate in this activity.  Recyclable items such as juice boxes do not count as garbage.

Dental Health Month

April is Dental Health month.  We will discuss how to care for our teeth and brush our teeth at school with our own toothbrush and toothpaste (provided).  Unfortunately the Dental Health Educator is booked for the month of April, but she will be visiting us on May 22 to share information on caring for our teeth.

Book Orders

Elf and SeeSaw book orders went home on April 10.  If you choose to order, they are due back on Tuesday, April 16.  Remember to use up those free book coupons your child has been getting for Christmas, Easter, and when they are Star of the Month!  I love reading and books and this is my way of sharing my love of books with my students.

Springside School on the News

CTV was out at the school during our Pink Shirt Day activities on April 10 and aired the footage on April 11.
